   Phim lấy bối cảnh của thị trường chứng khoán Hàn Quốc trong những ngày tháng hỗn loạn. Kim Do Hyun (Jang Hyuk đóng) là một người yêu tiền từ khi còn là một đứa trẻ vì anh vốn có  xuất thân nghèo khó. Lý do anh học trường luật cũng là để chế ngự những ham muốn của mình với đồng tiền. Do Hyun chỉ muốn sống một cuộc sống đơn giản với người bạn gái của mình - Lee Jung Yeon (Lee Min Jung đóng). Sau 3 năm làm việc ở cương vị quản lí tài chính, một ngày nọ, những tham vọng ẩn sâu trong chàng luật sư trẻ bỗng bị đánh thức bởi sức mạnh vạn năng của đồng tiền. Anh quyết định tìm kiếm một công việc nhiều thanh thế hơn cùng mức lương cao hơn. Do Hyun đã rời bỏ người con gái từng đồng cam cộng khổ cùng mình để đến với nữ doanh nhân giỏi giang và giàu có Yoo In Hye (Kim Hee Ae đóng). Tức giận, Jung Yeon quyết định vạch ra một kế hoạch trả thù táo bạo...
